Teacher training opportunities with the Avon Teaching School Alliance
The schools within the AvonTSA work closely with the University of Bristol, Bath Spa University and the University of Exeter to provide placements for their PGCE programmes.
We also offer placements for the NWilts SCITT based at Royal Wootten Bassett Academy.
In addition to these Initial Teacher Training opportunities, The Dean Academy, an AvonTSA member, is a proud Partner School for Teach First. The Dean Academy is inits fourth year of working with Teach First, having worked with seven participants. Five of these currently work in the school in Maths, English and MFL and three of them hold positions of whole school responsibility.
We passionately believe that joining the teaching profession is hugely rewarding and you can make a real difference to the lives of young people. If you are interested in becoming a teacher then the following videos will give you some information about what to expect and the application process.
While we do not currently offer our own School Direct places, we know that gaining classroom experience is key to any application for Initial Teacher Training but getting that experience is trickier. Enquire about how you can gain classroom experience using the button below.
